re practicality of vanagons :

That is why I would love to sell fully refurbished Vanagons as an alternative to a new car. - and i mean with almost all new or rebuilt parts, like reblt eng., trans, new paint, all new brake parts, new interior etc. etc. etc.

the practicality would be way beyond what is available in modern complex cars.

I bet someone in the world has put ABS brakes on a Vanagon somewhere, which is the one modern thing that might really be extra useful. Airbags . . . . .well, sometimes they are OK.
