I put Konis on my 75 Bay. They certainly firmed it up; I set the rebound damping near maximum. Most people probably wouldn't like such stiffness, but it did cut down the rate at which the body rolled (it won't stop the roll, but slows it down). It was still quite easy to lift the inside rear tire on tight bends. That van would really have benefited from a set of swaybars more than dampers. Vanagons have less body-roll, so the better dampers should be more evident.

10 years on, I managed to sell the Konis (they only had 5000km on them) for what I paid for them, as the front (or is it the rear) ones are no longer made. But first I had to check them to see if they'd fit the Caravelle!
