Hey Volks,

Long time no post... Had to chime in on this one. As the story goes... 2 and 1/2 years ago I departed from central Georgia with my wife, 2 sons, 2 cats, and about 1200lbs of personal effects and traveled the Alaskan Highway to Anchorage. 17 days of adventure and constant mechanical challenge...quite an education. Thanks to the List and a patient and supportive family, we made it safe and sound. However, the trip took it's toll on my '86 2WD. A few month later, while giving a co-worker/friend a lift, he commented to me that he could feel the bus wobbling. It was only noticeable at low speeds. Further examination revealed a slightly warped right front wheel and deformed tire. Well, that was easy enough to fix...but the moniker was set in stone and my van became known to all as "The Wobbly Bus".
