I have some 12 volt landscaping lights around my pool with blue lens covers and have thought about installing them under the van to get the same effect. Never tried it, just an idea. They should be able to run off of the battery, and since they are designed for outdoor use, they should be able to survive the environment under the van.

Now to find some gold lens covers:>)

Another big idea,

I've been thinking off installing some lighting (a deep blue color) under the body of my Vanagon so I get a soft deep blue glow at night all around the van. I do not want to see any points of light though. Just the glow. I am considering the tube style lighting you see around but do not think it will be bright enough. I could be wrong. I was then considering the same tube lighting seen in a home using house current (converter needed) to make it brighter but not sure if it makes any difference. Then of course it has to be mounted and be able to stand up to spray washings and so on. Any experience out there regarding this? Related websites?

Thanks, Lee
