Hi all:

Thanks for all the words of wisdom and encouragement. I’ll be getting my new fuel line in a few days, and the whole kit and kaboodle will be taken care of then. For now, the culprit was a weakened crimp clamp just forward of the engine tin where the stupid plastic thing lives. That will be disappearing soon. The line may actually be split under the temporary replacement clamp, but right now, it’s fine. My westy is resting comfortably back in it’s spot beside the driveway, and will remain there until the new parts come. So, I got to play hookey from work, hugged my right rear tire for about twenty minutes while my fingertips worked at cutting the old clamp off and putting the new one on. Oh, and even tho this is Seattle and we’re officially in a drought here, it’s raining today. Figures. So, I’ll be discussing some options with a friend with a nice, level driveway, and talking to another friend with an air compressor so we can re-torque the lugs on all the wheels, as the monkey who put them on last time had too much fun with the air gun.

PS: I’m now using word as my mail editor, is html off?? Not sure yet…
