Hello all, I need to see if any of you has a rebuildable 2.1 liter engine short or long block.Or if any of you knows where or a friend that has a rebuildable long or short block 2.1 engine. As some of you know by the post list mine had a ticking noise in it for some time .I was thinking and a notable vanagon shop thought the same, was a ticking lifter. In short it was sorta kinda a ticking lifter.Really all in all it was a spun bearing on #1 and the rod had enough play in it the it slapped the intake lifter boss on #1 #3. So on Tuesday morning of last week it had hit it enough times to break the lifter boss on #1 off into the oil sump causing the valve not to work on #1 intake. The next thing we think that happened is that the piston did not receive any fuel to cool the piston down it seized causing the crank shaft rod to explode the piston in the cylinder giving me blue smoke. So there is nothing left that i can really use except for the heads and the fuel injection system. I need help I cannot afford a rebuilt engine to put back into my beautiful vanagon anywhere from 1525.00-2100.00+500.00-800.00 core where as me and a vanagon-driver-mechanic can rebuild one for 500.00-800.00. thank you for reading this and thank you in advance for your time. Darrel Combs 88 blown the hard way (not running)
