>From my experience, start saving for a rebuild and run it. Just don't bung up the ring and pinion before you swap it out. That will get the big "rejected core" sticker when you send it in most likely Ours went for about a year (no failure) then I swapped it. The quiet is much nicer than the whine. Cheers, Dave C.
