Ken, I know how you feel. Once on the 928 Porsche list a non running early euro came up on the mailing list for 3000$, I wanted it. A fellow list member volunteered to act as a liaison for shipping in exchange for a set of polished alloys (pretty generous on my part actually). Well I shipped him the money via Western union, which he promptly shipped back to me. Seems he'd seen the car and decided to buy it himself. It still makes my blood boil. When it comes down to the wire, many people just have no class at all, sorry you found one of them.
