Todd,

Assuming you want the raised portion black and it's black now  why not
mask it over. Blow the color on the uppper and lower areas.  Then unmask
the black area, and clearcoat the entire panel.


This is the procedure I used.  Except I had made repairs which required
the black areas to be coated.  I bypassed the black epoxy paint stage by
using black epoxy primer for the paint preparation.
