i suppose it *is* a little bit like anago...NOT.

my wife's mother (who is english) loves spam, not only for its texture, taste, and shelf life, but for its association as *the* meat she ate after the second world war. tins and tins of the stuff, apparently.

and to think, when i was a kid, my dad loved nothing more than to serve spam'n'eggs to us when mom worked.

i am never going to let him ride in our vanagon (req.v.c.).
