O.K. I have seen a Subie conversion, I am impressed! But what about the I4 conversion. Is it easier than the Subie? I am very concerned about making the wire harness. Are there any web sites that I could look at! What year VWs had them? How would I ask to price them locally (the subie engine we got was a lot higher than was quoted on the list). I am not planning to convert "Sammy", she will stay the same, I like taking my time to go camping ;-))). I am still looking for a Vanagon with blown engine in Nebraska to start accumulating the parts to start another Vanagon project ( Wife says ok only if she gets the converted Van). So all you experts on I4 Conversions please give me some directions on harnesses etc. I am fairly underfunded so I want to do most of the work myself! It may stay a while I am not as young as I used to be! Fred 1982 Vanagon Westy Diesel "Sammy" 1984 GMC Suburban Diesel 4 X 4 " The Beast" |
