I used the Wide Body Yakima mount (has 4 bolts on it) in my current 87 syncro westy and 83 westy. I put RTV around the holes and have never seen a leak. Course I live in CO and we don't have the rain that can occur in outher parts of the country. I've hauled 7 or 8 whitewater boats at a time without a problem. The only trouble his been lifting the top with boats on there (takes two people) and remembering to first untie the rope to the front (takes brains/memory).
