Subject: Replace Crankshaft Seal by Removing Tranny?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi List,

Has anyone ever replaced the flywheel side crankshaft seal by removing the transmission alone? The flywheel I removed from another car required a very long breaker and I am not sure I'd be able to fit one under the car (I'd have to work in my gravel driveway).

Anyone ever done this? How heavy is the transmission? Is it possible to manipulate while on my back under the car?

Thanks, James Wagner
