In my quest to gain all I can out of my 1.9L (85 Westy), I am wondering about the Bosch Plat +4 plugs and High output coils. Will the plugs gain me anything or just a waste of money? I am not looking for a power boost, just a MPG gain. What about high output coils? Will I fry the computer or dizzy? Will I gain anything out of it? Anyone ever try it? I stuck one in my pickup and it works real good, it smoothed the engine out a lot and gained a little power. Can I do it in the Vanagon and if so, what coil should I use. I assume I would also need to upgrade the wires to better than stock to use the extra power. Any other suggestions to gain MPG I am open to(other than common sense stuff, tire psi,etc..).
