Marshall,
You must have seen CBC's special they had on last Sunday night called
"Talking to Americans" by Rick Mercer of "This Hour has 22 minutes" [
http://www.22minutes.com ]? I think I need to say no more! :) Unless we
want to haul out the simple birch bark and pine cones vote to see who is
right! With the amount of people on the list that would weigh a few
kilometers I am sure. :p
Happy Friday everyone!

Jeff Palmer told me not to post this, so of course, I had to.....(heh heh)
So, what do Canadians have to be proud of?
1. Smarties;
2. Crispy Crunch & Coffee Crisp;
3. The length of our footballs fields, and one less “down”;
4. Baseball is Canadian;
5. Lacrosse is Canadian;
6. Hockey is Canadian;
7. Basketball is Canadian;
8. Mr. Dress-up kicks Mr. Rogers @ss; (Ed note: Mr. Dress-up was actually an
American!)
9. Tim Hortons kicks Dunkin' Donuts @ss; (Ed note: "The last American
Vanagon-listee who p-mails me with the correct answer to: "What is a
"Tim-Bit?", gets a free set of 4 tan Vanagon cup-holders.)
10. Canada has the largest French population that never surrendered to
Germany;
11. We have the largest English population that never ever surrendered or
withdrew during any war to anyone, anywhere;
12. The Hudsons Bay Company once owned over 10% of the earth's surface and
is still around as the worlds oldest company;
13. We invented ski-doos, jet-skis, velcro, zippers, the telephone, and
short wave radio. Canadian inventions of insulin and penicillin save
countless lives each year. (Ed note: “plus, let us not forget about
Poutine!”)
14. We ALL have frozen our tongues to something metal and lived to tell
about it.
15. Many Canadian engineers, who were laid off after AVRO cancelled the
"Arrow" jetfighter, went to the US and played a VERY substantial role in the
design of the Apollo spacecraft and Saturn V rockets. (Ed note: This is true
and a "little known" fact)
BUT MOST IMPORTANT!
16. Handles on our beer cases are big enough to fit your hands in, with
mitts on.!
