Mine did not have the small plastic black wire right on top of the center arm. Maybe all '86+ had them from new. My '85 did not. I hooked the O2 sensor lead up to my voltmeter and ran the engine up to about 3000 rpm. The AFM was moved clockwise to lean. Pry away the spring clip and move the wheel. Mark the original position with some paint in case the wheel moves too fast and you lose track. I got the readings down to ~ 0.75 VDC. It was running more like 0.85 before. One or two notches more and it would not run right. I am going to leave it here until I check the mileage. Jay |
