Gary,
I rechecked my February 1999 correspondence and receipts to and from Speedbleeder. I paid
for and have installed on my 84 (83.5) Westfalia the following Speedbleeders:
1 each SB6100
4 each SB7100
2 each SB8125L-note the "L"
The Speedbleeder brochure specifies SB 6100 as thread pitch 6MM x 1.0 with an overall
length of 1.13 inches or 28.87 mm.
The Speedbleeder brochure specifies SB 7100 as thread pitch 7MM x 1.0 with an overall
length of 1.33 inches or 33.98 mm.
The Speedbleeder brochure specifies SB8125L as thread pitch 8MM x1.25 with an overall
length 1.26 inches or 32 mm.
Ms. Whitney Sulmer, of Speedbleeder, and I went through an exchange of the first-sent
parts, which were originally specified by the firm, before we were to able to arrive at
delivery of the foregoing, correctly-installed Speedbleeders. I suspect that the
specifications as filed at the firm for the '84 were innacurate---- as they pertained to
my vehicle. There is only one SB6100 installed, and that is on the clutch slave cylinder.
The SB8125L, the 8MM.version, IS installed on the rear.
