I was looking through the archives and saw a message from about 3 weeks ago about the fresh air vents on the dash of an 81 not closing.  I have the same problem and can not figure out how to close them.  I also have tried almost everything.  Are they supposed to stay open?  It seems as such!  Now that spring has sprung, I don't think I'll mind so much, but it was a really cold winter!  If anyone has any suggestions...Thanks! :)
