The solution, when it starts getting cold. Remove the headligh grill assembly and put a piece of tape over the intake area.

I use the 2" foil tape that is used in Airconditioning duct sealing. Masking tape dries and really makes a mess, duct tape is way to nasty (leaves white adhesive when you remove it).
