I've seen many claims on oil filters and I normally buy mine from a local VW Parts Store, VDUB Parts.

I have to assume that I'm getting what I need but I'd be interested to know what brands of filters are "approved".

I never go for the discount national auto parts chain store low ball price on oil filters.

I've noticed that the filters I get from the VDUB Parts are about 1/2" larger in diameter than the national brands.

I just hate it when I see that "MADE IN CHINA" label on everything, China is still a COMMUNIS NATION and I can't believe we can't make ammends with CUBA we seem to have accepted every other Communist Resigm.
