Toque: standard Canadian issue hat to keep your head warm. Ususally wool. Known in some parts of the U.S. as a "knit stocking cap" Canadians snicker when Americans say that. Merriam Webster's Dictionary (totally American biased) defines toque as a woman's small hat without a brim made in any of various close fitting shapes. In Newfoundland, referred to as "Lard t'underin by, de nar'wester sumptin fierce today! Where's my friggin toque to now?" Sorels: standard Canadian issue big white snow boots, come up to a couple of inches below your knee. Felt liners (although I put my Intuition custom moulded snowboard boot liners in them for more comfort). Known in some places as "ski-doo boots". Vanagon: a large, box shaped vehicle, occupying the right lane of all roads (except perhaps those that have undergone organ transplants). Known to consume vast quantities of money, and be a severe cause of frustration. Best avoided by those with high blood pressure or people with Irish tempers (see: KEITH ADAMS).

=) Keith
