Isn't it the Type II T2, T3 >and T4 that has 5 x 112mm making it 1970 to present?

The early T2 Bays (1967-70) retained the old T1 stud-pattern (5x~300mm).

One thing I can't really understand is why the Bays were called T2 rather than T1/0.5. They were not a completely new body from the Splits...only the cab, side-window panels (in Kombi & Microbus) and roof panel were changed. The Splits had sliding doors (1966) and walkthrough (about 1957) as desirable options; the CV rear axle came in with 12V for the last of the Splits in 1967.
