Subject: Power...Power...Power... Can be found in the WBX...
Content-Type:  multipart/alternative;

For those of you that do not want to go through the hassles of most of the conversion projects and just want some more power out of their engine, more reliability and increased mileage ... there are bolt on products that can increase the power and there are internal parts that can be changed to increase the power. Put a sealant on the head sealing surface to protect the head gaskets and heads and eliminate the head gasket problem.

Also, changing the tranny to a .457 ring and pinion five speed will better match the increased power or even changing fourth gear to a taller gear, .85 to .77, to drop cursing RPM.

While I can cruise at 75 mph with little peddle in fifth...I can cruise through town in fifth at @35 mph. I can take fourth up to @75~80 if needed...

There are many air-cooled T1 performance bolt-ons available for the WBX from ratio rocker arms, bigger cams, bigger bore pistons, mufflers, straight cam gears, counterweighted cranks with bigger stroke to ECU power chips to entire digital dual dual throat fuel injection systems.

The RPM range of the engine I put together is ~1500 RPMS to ~6000 Rpms (The cams power band is between 2K to 5K).

While it is not the 7000 Rpms (I can change the fuel injection system and then hit 8000+ RPMs with ease...) I find it is all the Rpms that I need for my driving needs, being able to hit 80 mph in fourth gear with a gear still to go...

Go a head and convert if you want to, BUT I will take your "bad" WBX off your hands...

Looking for a good 2.1L core for the "Lilley Version 2 WBX"(TM)...
