They have almost no bearing whatsoever on each other.
The seals are 'tres easy - 30 minute job

The canvas is a major pain in the rear.  It took me 2
hours to get it off, and about 2 weeks to get it back
on.... should only take you 1 hr each way with a
competent helper, but a helper is a NECESSITY to get
it back on... unless you have 4 arms.
