There have been at least 2 list postings about Bilsteins blowing (seals? Unspecified) on bad roads. Recently I ordered a aet of Konis from Germany; had a set on my 75 Bay and they were good, wound up to nice stiff rebound damping. Boge is standard issue, and as such, very basic. Kayaba (KYB) is far from the best all-round, but probably better than Boge. Want good dampers for good handling, fork out for Bilstein (fragile) or Koni (robust).
