The old gasket was left adheared to the head. I took a small dab of Permatex hi-temp form-a-gasket and smoothed on a thin film on the flange side of the gasket before reassembly WITH NEW BOLTS since these bolts rust and break off. Its never leaked since doing this. Might want to try it. > > --Nate
