This is a very valid point. My Syncro (bra-less) has overheated twice. Both
times were in winter, in blinding snowstorms (very thick heavy wet
snowflakes) with the temperature just below freezing and strong winds. What
appears to happen is that the front grille and AC condenser ice up,
blocking off airflow to the radiator. Both times I pulled over and shut
down (pointed downwind) and the residual heat from the rad soon melted the
ice.

This is where the 87 degree thermostat may help!
