I misstated the offset of the Passat wheels, it is 45 not 38 according
to the TireRack Steel Wheels chart.  So an 8 mm spacer would only get
the offset back to 37.


According to this same chart, there are several Mercedes 15" wheels
with 5x112 bolt pattern that have a 37 offset.  These are wheels for
the 190D & E (84-93), 300 E, CE & TE (86-95), and C220, C230 & C280
(94-00).  Perhaps one of these models paired with the 8 mm spacer would
do the job.


Anyone have experience with these wheels and the Vanagon or Syncro,
with or without spacers.
