Bradley, my '84 clunked when it needed CV's. It was obvious. Easiest way to deal with problem is get rebuilt axles. I got mine from Van-Again and had my mechanic install them. When I went from junker tires to some good stuff recently, I also got some reduction in noise from the back end.
