Steve, On the way home, last evening, I was paying attention to other vehicles ass ends, and what sort of wattation thet were throwing off their tail lights. Guess what?

I was low man on the totem pole

I paticularly noticed two rapidly moving Toyota Yuppiemobile, 4x4's passed me, and when they threw on their turn signals, I thought I was behind an amusment park ride. Very blinding. As well as most other late model cars.

If you haven't noticed, the Schwinn bicycle sized tailight lens on the back of all Vanagon's warrants some sort of increased lumina's to assist in being noticed. just prior to impact, at night.

And some measly 1156 bulbs in a 2"x 53/4" receptical, with a heavely fluted red lens, used as a running light, isn't going to do much blinding.

And if in fact these bulbs, are also used as stock tail light running lights, and brake lights in any BMW 325. ( mine included )

Where did you come up with this brain storm?

Don't go blowing any smoke, when you ain't carrying any resporator !! :>)
