I think the discussion is meant to be referring to the thermo-fan switch that will kick your fan in at 80deg C or 84 Deg C instead of the factory fitted 87deg C switch. The 87 is probably fine in Europe however in Australia and no doubt the warmer parts of the US,the lower temp activated fan switch is preferable....or do I have the wrong end of the stick too? :)
