Hey all,

 I have noticed that there seems to be a real problem getting a decent hitch
for the rear of a Vanagon. I may have a solution. I am working on making a
hitch for my vanagon that will be 90% hidden behind the bumper and will use
either a 2in or 1.25in receiver.
 The way it will work is that the hitch will be welded between the two stock
bumper brackets. The stock bumper will have to have a hole cut into it to allow
the reciever to poke out. Without the stinger in, all you will see is a 1 1/2in
or 2in hole. Or if you prefer, I could make one that would allow a receiver to
be bolted on to the bottom. I hope to have the prototype finished before the
spring meet so I can show everyone what it looks like.
  If there is interest, I could make one for your van, to your specs. I will
post pictures to my web page as soon as I get it done. I fgure they would be
priced between $100 and $200, depending on size of receiver and style.

  Also, who do I need to E-mail about the food for the pot luck? I know what I
am bringing.
