Jim , You want to go over every hose and every thing that looks old feels mushy or crusty your going to want to replace while your at it. Most will probly sugest replaceing all hoses, they could all very well be 15 years old. I replaced a few platic parts of the cooling system that croded. After I filled and bleed the system I found another hoses leaking. So I went over every inch of hose and now I wait for delivery again..........

I am new to list and hope someone can help me. I just bought a 1986 Vanagon Westphalia with 149,000 miles on it. Drove it from Baltimore to Wichita, KS, before I had the first break down. The CV joint went out.
