One of my good friends owns a 23 window deluxe model. 1962 vintage built to Dutch specs. We've driven it to many VW events, some 200 miles, some 450 miles away. All of those miles at no more than 65 MPH, or about 105 Km/H since the speedo is metric. Many of those miles with the huge sunroof wide open. It was hard to get used to all the thumbs up and the smiles from the people in the passing cars.

Not too shabby for what's been called one of 10 WORST cars of the Millennium. Hell, it's a not car. It's a damn BUS. Has anyone told those CARTALK morons that?

Chris. '85 Westy.
