Listees:

I am about to aquire a primo aircooled Vanagon Westy. From Ca. No Rust! New engine! New auto tranny! One minor ding! Nice Ivory paint. So what's my problem?

None at the moment, other than a niggling feeling that I need to be prepaired for the eventuality that 'ol Ducka will need fixing and I won't be able to find the part.

So, with that in mind, I am asking the list to help me to identify the common repair problems with Vanagons in general and the aircooled version in particular. Also, a list of spares that one should carry other than the usual plugs, caps, rotor, wires, and wiper blades.

Thanks

Soon to be the proud owner of an '82 Westy, to be called 'ol Ducka.

Owner of: 1990 Jetta, the white car.
