I just read a letter in the latest European Car magaizine asking why no one ever turbocharged the Porsche 914 (VW) 4 cyl.engine. Turns out someone did alot of them, but he discovered that when you turn the boost up the engines cases split. A wbx is not a 914 engine, but it very closely related. By the time you get an application like this sorted out to keep if from being a hand grenade, you'll surely have a pile of bent wbx engines in your garage. If you have alot of money to burn, just do it right and swap to a Porsche Boxter engine.
