John colour (Canadian spelling) of rubber varies, carbon (black dust) is added to the material before it is shot into the plastic/ rubber mould. It's cheep and hides flaws/bad tooling or process problems. don't worry as long as its the right material. cheers Rob Nevin (Mechanical Engineer)
