I have an '84 Vanagon Camper. I diagnosed my horn problem as a poor connection between the steering column electrical connector and the brass ring on the bottom of the steering wheel. I fabricated a copper brush to make the moving electrical contact but I need to replace what was there originally because my brush is starting to fail. Any ideas as to where one can find that specific part of what is is called. It is a piece of copper that is embedded in the electrical connector mounted to the steering coloumn. It seems to have worn out or was broken.... Joe '84 Westy |
