Has anyone replaced a '91 stock gas tank with one from Bus Depot? My original tank has a larger diameter fuel supply outlet pipe than the replacement tank. Is the purpose of the smaller outlet pipe on the replacement tank to allow adding a fuel filter (the small, squarish kind made of plastic, with the inlet and outlet being different sizes) before the fuel pump? My original setup went from the tank outlet pipe to the fuel pump, then the fuel filter (the big cylindrical metal kind). I noticed after my original tank was out that it has an internal fuel filter, whereas the replacement tank does not. My plan is to add a plastic filter between the tank and the pump, as shown in Bentley. Any thoughts? TIA, Philip |
