anyone have a t.v hooked up and if so what are some nice ways to maybe go about this. yes i have kids and sometimes it stops them from asking " are we there yet " when are we going to get there

thanks, Joe

Joe, I recently took an extended trip with my kids. Purchased a 13" TV/VCR combo from wal-mart. It sits nicely in the top of the cabinet (over the sink) and is secured in place during travel with a bungee cord, one horizontally around the base hooked over the edge of the sink/stove cover, and another shorter one vertically from the center of the first cord up to the overhead rack/pop top linkage. You can buy TV/VCR that run off of 12V but they are more expensive due to the internal DC power supply. Since the kids have a Sony Playstation, that runs exclusively off of 110V AC, I purchased an AC only TV and a 300 watt-plug-in-your-cigarette-lighter-converter (also from wallyworld) to power it all. The converter drew too much power from the lighter socket and blew the fuse so we wired a lighter socket/adapter (included with the converter) directly to the battery. Works great...
