I have both NA and Euro version of ETKA, after browsing both, I have
noticed that the Euro version shows some part numbers the NA version
doesn't show and vice versa.  I have NOT noticed any part numbers which
contain different characters or prefixes between the Euro and NA versions
regarding the Vanagon.  My conclusion is either will work and part
supecessions are rare for this car (Vanagon); now if you're talkin' a newer
Passat or Beetle, that is something different since they are current
production.  I agree that part numbers for the Vanagon will most likely
dissappear rather than be supeceded.  If you need either version of ETKA I
have, please let me know by p-mail.  (Euro through '89 - NA through '01)
Also, the Euro version shows Euro options not available in North America,
i.e. those taillights with the integrated foglight part numbers.
If browsing either version you may notice when clicking on a part that the
part number is no longer available or "unknown", browse the other version
and it may show you the part number that was "unknown" in the other
version.  Weird but I almost understand it since I work at Deere which has
it's own Parts Catalogue with the same weirdness.
