If Ben's idea doesn't work, you can disassemble it. Mine recently had the opposite problem; the minute button was not having any effect because the little pad that contacts the circuits board was dirty and non-conductive. You pull off the cover over the instrument cover, unlatch and pull out about 4 switches etc., disconnect the speedo cable, and the connector for power and signals, and bring the whole thing to a clean and well lit work surface. I don't remember the details, but with a little screwdriver and a little determination you can get to the buttons. Just remember carefully how things came apart. Good luck, Larry A.
