I have seen/heard about it being done with the help of a long measuring
stick, but I have never tried it; hence, I would be reluctant to make any
recommendation.  I don't think there is anything special or different about
doing an alignment on a Vanagon, so any garage with the appropriate
equipment should be able to do it.  I got mine done last year at a tire
dealer in a small town in Indiana for $30... and that included using a torch
to break the bent tie rod loose so he could turn it.
