Been using the black silicone inside the rubber window mouldings for 20 years, that's why I recommended it.

No leaks, no rust, no how.

Where did you hear that silicone oxidizes paint and metal ?

The silicone at Ace is the place is used for caulking around your home windows and gutters, and is guaranteed for 30 years.

Hmm,--- must be allot of rotten windows and gutters out there, and allot of claims against Ace, GE, and who ever else manufactures the stuff.

Impossible.
