Yeah, but if you remove the engine you have to deal with exhaust pipes, coolant lines, gas lines, wiring harness, etc.... It is 10^3 times easier to remove the tranny than the engine. The tranny is about 85 lbs w/o oil- two folks can lift it and move it around fairly easy. If you have a floor jack remove the tranny is trivial. -matthew
