I just replaced one on mine today. The best is if you have the right tool. Your FLAP store should rent one out for this job. Taking out the tapered fittings are the hard part for me. That's why you need the tool. If the split pin is too hard to take out and it won't move even with a drift, you have to drill it out. Put never seez on the threads. I have seen guys cleaning up under the broken rubber and fill up with grease than close it with rubbery calk. Not the best thing. It can last for a while though.
