Vanagon Friends-

I have been "no mail" on the Vanagon list for almost two years now (witness to one-too-many discussions on "What are the right tires for my...?" or something like that).  Imagine my surprise to be browsing the recent archives to find all this spam and off topic stuff going on!

Anyway, I have taken the liberty of creating two lists on Yahoo!Groups? (yeah, I know; but everything in life is a compromise) with which I hope to contribute in discussions on two Vanagon topics of paramount interest to me:  Westfalia Vanagons and conversions from Wasserboxer to something else (gas powered only - there's already a TDI conversion list out there).

Membership in the lists will be restricted - I may decide to ask you some semi-arcane Vanagon question or require you to provide your VIN just to make sure you're a serious participant and not just some clandestine spammer <G>.

Posts will be unmoderated, but a "zero-tolerance" policy regarding spam and off-topic posts (including virus alerts of any kind) will be enforced on both lists.  (Have I emphasized this enough?)

Though I cringe when I see or hear the word, you will not be banned for using "Westy" in your posts.

Please don't send requests to me directly - managing one of these things is enough of a pain already <G>.  BTW, I was "first kid on my block" to have a "Eurospec" conversion installed in my '91 Westfalia; that was 2+ years and 20K miles ago.
