I've finally done it.

Been hearing all the erroneous reports, the alleged suppliers, and all kinds of fictitious prices, for years, and I finally took the matter into my own hands.

So, after getting no where here o the list, I went to my buddy at VW, and told him what I wanted to do, and he suggested using a 91 Vanagon antenna which had a manual retractable set-up.

He had zero listings for a factory electric unit.

It listed for $53.35, and after he gave me 20% off, it cost me $42.68.

I figure it this way---I've lost 3 antenna's already, at $8.00 ea., going through car washes, plus my exorbitant labor rate to myself, so if nothing else, I won't have to be doing this stupid job again.

Push the antenna flush----blast through the si habla, car wash, el dryo--- pull the antenna up-----Hasta Lavista Baby !!

Mucho Magnifico!!
