Hello everyone, I have had my '86 crewcab diesel for three weeks now, it had been sitting four years under an almond tree, it was left here by it's former owner a german chef who use to have a restaurant here. is a unique piece here in mexico and therefore service will be not easy to get. I guess I need to sharpen my mecanic skills. I replaced the battery , and the alternator and water pump belts (not the timing belt which I didn't dare to change but it needs to be replaced), filters changed, I want to drain and replace the antifreeze coolant and I have no Idea where to drain it properly from? It has a grinding-squeeking noise when shifting to theird and fourth gear. first and secord gear are not easy to find either. there is a hole open behind the engine on the case attached next to it. I placed some ducktape to prevent any gravel or dirt to go into it. the emergency break does not work the cable is broken. does someone know a reliable parts and manual store? thanks you all. |
