Hi all im new and totally inexperinced ..lol
I just got myself an 86 gl vanagon 2.1 ltr. 4 cyl...
it runs alright except each time i like to drive...it stalls or jerks etc.
I talked already to Ben...but i really dont want to Bombard him anymore with
my e-mail's...lol
Well i worked all day yesterday and today on it here is what i did.
I attached the hose witch goes into the airfilter box , comming from the outa
Vent on the back pannel....i took out the silver top Valve I think its called
Idel control valve ? or air control valve? sitting right on top...u cant miss
it it has also an electricall connector to it, if i disconnect it, the engine
runs at lower RPM. Anyway so i clenad it and also took a Srewdrive and a 4
corner adj. tool witch fits into the saml hole at the Airfilter assemple and
turne left and right those srews, till i think i got a good rpm now around
1100 down from 3500 rpm..lol
the other problem i still have is kinda a black smoke comming out of the
excaust ? to much Gas ? it dos not Puff and Puff and Puff anymore so much
like before. It sounded like a Hot rot..lol
Well i guess i stop for now and wait for some SHORT reponses..LOL btw i
changed the Sparkplugs to.
thanks
86 Gl
